The FTCR China Real Estate Index fell to 43 in January, its lowest level in a year,dragged by slowing activity ahead of the Chinese new year holiday but also the government's on going clamp down on the housing market.

No developers reported availability for first-time buyers of mortgage rates under 85 percent of the benchmark, the first time this has happened since we began our survey in December 2012.
